One switch does nothing

A homeowner says the light only responds to one of the two switches.

Reported symptom: The light only works from the upstairs switch. The downstairs switch does nothing at all.

Tap a terminal, then tap a second terminal to run a wire between them. Tap either terminal of an existing wire (or the wire itself) to remove it.
